H!P Profiles: THE Possible / Ciao Bella Cinquetti

L to R: Kaede Oose, Yuki Goto, Aina Hashimoto, Robin Okada Shouko, Kanami Morozuka, Yurika Akiyama

Ah, THE Possible.  I think it was great that Tsunku during 2006 was paying attention to the Eggs and putting them to use like Tomoiki Ki wo Uetai (although they didn’t exactly last long).  Anyways, 2006…Tsunku announced another group with 4 members, (Kanami, Aina, Yurika, and Kaede) initially before adding Yuki and Robin shortly after to complete the group.  They released 6 indie singles and one mini-album (calls it an album but it’s 6 tracks) before they were shockingly moved from H!P to Tsunku’s new label (at the time) TNX.  During those times they released two more indie singles before FINALLY going major for two singles before Kaede Oose graduated to focus on her acting in 2009.

After Kaede graduated the group proceeded forward and after more singles and finally a 2nd album, they moved their releases onto Victor to which they are actually doing pretty good for themselves.  Even with the announcement recently that Robin is the leader and Aina is the sub-leader…I think they’re still a big priority with Tsunku and even sometimes see them with H!P

That is until 2015 where the group announced a decision to change the group’s name to Ciao Bella Cinquetti. Though the excitement didn’t last very long because shortly after their first single under the new name, Yurika Akiyama announced her graduation from the group leaving just the four to continue on.

And this is where the current lineup stands at the moment, strange to see only the 4 of them since Akkyan left, but still looks mature!  Though in 2018, the group announced their disbandment.

Style of Music:

They are that kind of basic idol group, but they’ve slowly shedded that mold for something a little more loud and awesome for their voices.

Top 5 Favorite Songs

  • Kaze no Uwasa

  • Nanja Korya?!

Overall: I almost thought after ② Shiawase no Akashi, THE Possible would be done, but it seems they’ve been rejuvenated since joining Victor last year!  As the 2nd Egg group created, I actually was surprised they were put on TNX (considering how well that is doing today >.>) I think THE Possible at first felt like a mix of Berryz & C-ute but then when they became more rock-heavy, I think they found their niche.  I sometimes still do wonder what’d be like if they were still H!P.  They did leave a rather interesting discography by the time of disbandment.
