H!P Profiles: Buono!

L to R: Airi Suzuki, Momoko Tsugunaga, Miyabi Natsuyaki

Now we’re kicking 2014 off with a pretty awesome group to profile.  Buono! is a group consisting of 3 of the more popular H!P Kids, Airi, Momoko, and Miyabi and they were originally brought together to sing the ending themes for the anime, Shugo Chara!  Though unlike the other Shugo groups, Buono! managed to survive past the ending of the series and release music without being branded as an H!P anime group.  Though they have slowly receded on their releases since the show ended and ended up in a hiatus for a couple years, they returned in 2016 with a new single then in turn disbanded in 2017 due to C-ute & Momoko graduating.

Style of Music: When they debuted, their first single, Honto no Jibun was more on the cute side, but Renai♥Rider pretty much solidfied the group to where they were the idol rock style.  They do sometimes go off the beaten path, but most of their music is pretty much rockin’!

Overall: Buono! to me is probably the best group to really come out of this period of H!P and anime groups.  They had a lot of energy and definitely kept up with their rockin’ sound.  Initially Momoko was the biggest letdown, but I’ve grown to tolerate her in Buono! because she can once in a while sound pretty damn good.  Though with the group now disbanded in 2017, I can say they had a pretty good run and I’m happy they survived past Shugo Chara! enough to give awesome pop/rock songs!
